There was once an Italian fisherman who sailed the Mediterranean Sea, he would go out every night roaming the sea on his fishing boat making it a priority to reach the Port of Terracina loaded with the best catch possible. His passion was palpable and it was clear that his ambition was going to take him on a truly exciting path.
The fisherman’s name is Giovanni Micalusi, known by everyone as Johnny. One night he decided he was going to have his own fishing boat to navigate through his beloved Sea, he were to call it Assunta Madre, after his own mother. Johnny now has various fishing boats who run a long his first and most loved, Assunta Madre. They roam the see at nights providing us with the freshest fish and seafood for all our restaurants, all named Assunta Madre.
We are not afraid to boast about the freshness of our products. From the fish, seafood, vegetables,olive oil and all the way down to the simplest ingredients such as fennel, garlic or spices, every product is organic and Italian. Like us.
We don’t have any culinary tricks up our sleeve, our products are handled with love and with care. Our cuisine is simple, it is rich and refined, full of Mediterranean elements that enhance the natural flavour of our fish with no distortions.
We are proud to live up to all the finest qualities of our national fish that arrives daily from Terracina directly to our kitchen in London.
