Guide to... Hostels in London

The best five star and four star hotels in central London come at a price and when you combine the cost of travel with cheaper alternatives outside the city centre you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Not a very comfortable place to sleep.

Although hostels are not known for offering the creature comforts of top hotels if you are going to be spending the day exploring the wonderful city of London are you really going to be spending your time relaxing in an over priced soulless hotel bar or swimming laps of a lonely indoor swimming pool like a London version of Lost in Translation?

Hostels are also a great place to meet people so if you are a solo traveller looking to meet new people then you will find that a hostel could provide that opportunity. Many hostels are also child friendly and family friendly so if you are looking for a cheap family weekend in London then a hostel could be perfect.
