Our spin off sexed up chippy brand, Salt 'n' Sauce, launched in Oxford this year.

The Bonnie Gull ethos has 3 simple ingredients: FRESH, LOCAL, SUSTAINABLE. All our seafood comes from the British boats fishing in British waters. Our menus change daily in accordance with the days catch. Every day is a balancing act for our chefs who barter with fishermen and small suppliers all over the UK to buy the best of the catch at the best prices. It's a true best of British representation that’s recreated every day.

Most of our flat fish comes from day-boats in Cornwall and Devon which means that the journey from sea to plate can be as little as 8 hours. We also enjoy a wealth of shellfish from the South Coast including our whole 1kg Devon cock crab - staple on our menus for over 5 years. For our famous fish & chips we use spanking fresh North Sea haddock, landed in Peterhead that we fry in a light tempura beer batter and serve with triple cooked beef dripping chips and of course, mushy peas! We buy queen scallops ('queenies') from the Isle of Man along with their handpicked crab meat. From the West Coast of Scotland we take incredible lobsters and langoustines and from the Hebrides we source razor clams ('spoots') and mussels. Our selection of native and rock oysters come from all corners of the British Isles including Portland Pearls, Loch Ryan Natives and Achill Rocks.

Our food is uncomplicated, super-fresh and served with character. We are the original London Seafood Shack, the seaside restaurant in the city...

In 2011 the story began with four schoolmates on a rooftop in London. They came up with the idea to set up a restaurant where the focus was on perfecting the craft of just one or two main ingredients. In a small Irish pub in Mayfair, the first Burger & Lobster was born.
