Drakes Tabanco takes its inspiration from the great tapas restaurants and sherry taverns (Tabancos) of Andalucia, but replaces many of the usual tapas favourites with an interesting and imaginative array of original dishes - freshly prepared using seasonal ingredients from some of the country's finest producers. Our drinks list is no less eclectic, ranging from award-winning Spanish craft beers and natural wines from family estate bodegas, to extraordinary sherries housed in ancient oak barrels - wines that have reached greatness through careful nurturing over several decades in the quiet of Jerez's prodigious cellars. All this provided in a typically Andalucian, yet hopelessly romantic setting where you can enjoy your meal by candlelight in our main room, or in the buzz of the bar while watching our Venenciador skilfully extract rare wines from the barrels - described by Urban Junkies as feeling, "…like it was built for first time dates and intimate chatter".
