RORO (Newport Court) | Dessert shop
With its glossy, pastel-hued walls, pink neon lights and all-round 80s Miami vibes, RORO is one achingly hip dessert shop. Inside, a mounted shark head greets you as it emerges from the blue wall. Cool factor aside, RORO is all about ultra-creative, tasty Asian-inspired confections along with mind-bending, colour-changing drinks.
For a sweet, street-food inspired snack, opt for one of RORO’s made-to-order jianbing. A slender crepe stuffed with tasty delights, jianbing are one of China’s most popular on-the-go breakfasts. RORO’s jianbing crepe rolls come in original, chocolate or matcha variety and topped with fresh blueberries, strawberries and mango. There’s unctuous sundaes with layer after layer of crumbled biscuit and cream. Don’t miss their Imagawayaki; a Japanse wheel cake with molten matcha custard. Pud heaven!
A visit to RORO wouldn’t be complete without sampling one of their futuristic Colour Changing Sparkle drinks. Beyond Instagramable, these bottles of wonder house mouth-watering juices whose colour blends from deep violet to dark crimson. Remarkable drinks require remarkable flavours and you can choose from charcoal, lychee & aloe to passionfruit & mango. RORO have milkshakes galore (Bueno, Oreo and Eton Mess) plus fruit and floral-infused lattes. Pick from rose, mango, beetroot, strawberry and banana.
