Blue Plaques in London

Blue Plaque № 43738 - The Pastures Demolished 1966. Site of a substantial 17th Century house once the home of William Davis a local benefactor after whom the lane is named. Also the home of Agnes Cotton who named the house and founded the Home of the Good Shepherd in 1879
King's Wardrobe Blue Plaque - Site of The King's Wardrobe destroyed in the Great Fire 1666
Royal Horticultural Society, John Hatchard, And Hatchards Brass Plaque - At Messrs. Hatchard's in a house on this site the Royal Horticultural Society was founded on the 7th March 1804
John Knight, Leyton Library, And Leyton Town Hall Blue Plaque - Leyton Library. Grade II Listed building. Designed by John Knight in an Italianate style and opened in 1882 as Leyton Town Hall. Outgrown by 1892 and replaced by the new Town Hall alongside. Later adapted to serve as a public Library

Blue Plaque № 39686 - Stratford Depot was here from 1839 to 2006 when it was the largest traincrew depot in Europe. The Eastern Counties and Great Eastern Railways built engines and trains on this site. The world record for the fastest build of a steam engine is still held by the Old Stratford Works, part of the Depot, and stands at 9hr 47min. This plaque commemorates the thousands of railway workers who worked at Stratford Depot.
