The Garden of Love Print
by National Gallery

£20.00

1500s

Known as 'The Garden of Love' on account of the foreground figures who have some of the attributes of love - flowers, musical instruments and paired doves - and the couple embracing in the middle distance.

Formerly attributed to the Venetian School, 15th-16th century, and to the School of Giorgione. The costume dates from about 1540 and may be Brescian in character.
