The city on the horizon is Antwerp. On the rise at the right is a carved and festooned cross, which seems to have a Virgin and Child at the top. The group in the left foreground is traditionally thought to represent Teniers and his family (see 'A View of Het Sterckshof near Antwerp').
This painting is probably a studio replica of a painting of 1646 by Teniers (Woburn Abbey, collection of the Duke of Bedford).
