A partridge hangs from the barrel of a gun; a snipe is on top of the carved relief. On the marble slab are grapes, peaches and pomegranates. The bas-relief shows a Bacchante and a satyr, and two putti are depicted on the relief at the bottom.
Georgius van Os, a native of The Hague, was active in Amsterdam and The Hague before he settled in Paris in 1826, where he worked for the Sèvres porcelain factory.
