Portrait of a Young Woman Print
by National Gallery

£20.00

1700s

The young woman in this painting is richly dressed, in a silvery green dress patterned with oak leaves. She is surrounded by a swathe of gold-bordered material, and wears a lavish floral garland.

An annotation in a 1907 sale catalogue suggested that this portrait was of a “Mlle de Coislin.” However, no other evidence exists to support this claim.
