Blue Plaques in London

Harry Bell Measures And Lancaster Gate Brown Plaque - Lancaster Gate platforms  Architect Harry Bell Measures , 1900  These platforms were the last substantial examples of the original Central London Railway design dating from the opening of this section of the line in 1900.   In keeping with this original design, London Underground has used plain white tiles during the modernisation of this station in 2006.  The original tiles can still be seen at high level on both platforms, above the track.
Automobile Association Black Plaque - The Automobile Association opened its first office in this building in the year 1905.  This plaque was unveiled on the 28th June 1965 by The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of London Sir James Miller D. L. LL D. to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Automobile Association
