Guide to... Gay Bars in Soho

Soho has been London's sex capital for more than two hundred years as it sat on the outside or the slums of the city. Now Soho is more refined but it has played its part in history in creating a climate of equality for LGBT. The ripple effect has turned Old Compton Street and the surrounding streets in to a sort of gay Mecca, excuse the dichotomy of the analogy,

There are lots of great LGBT bars and parties happening in Soho. One of the best parties I ever went to was a lesbian party at Soho House for example, partly because I won the card tournament.

Although anti-gay bombs have been replaced by upmarket bars, and many will argue gentrification has hit Soho's community, everyone who has been part of the community in the past years must be proud of the changes that have happened in society as a result of the bravery of the LGBT community led from Soho in many ways.
