There are not many prime real estate areas in the world that are named after a pub but Fitzrovia is thought to be one of them. Said pub, The Fitzroy Tavern located on the corner of Charlotte Street and Windmill Street, still exists and makes our list. One can only imagine the stories the walls could tell.

Fitzrovia is well catered for, literally, Charlotte Street has more restaurants than perhaps any street in central London. Although restaurants have replaced pubs throughout the UK as a result of changing tastes there are still some great pubs in Fitzrovia, these are our favourites.
