Guide to... Warwick Street
Warwick Street is surprisingly peaceful considering that is the closest parallel street to Regent Street and is just a few moments walk from Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street, and Piccadilly Circus.
It is home to one of our favourite hotels in London, the boutique Sanctum Soho, and as a sign of austerity the biggest Eat sandwich shop ever known. To be fair it is a bright, comfortable, cheap place to eat in one of the busiest areas of London.
The Warwick is a cool pub located on the street too. Not perhaps a destination for a sober night of conversation but a fun pub for birthday parties and Christmas parties.
The path Warwick Street follows is marked on maps dating back to 1585 as part of the lane which led (in modern place name terms) from Piccadilly to Oxford Circus.
