10 Best Nightclubs in Central London
Our picks for the top ten nightclubs in central London including the best nightclubs in Mayfair and Soho
London nightclubs can be some of the best in the world but at the same time there are turkeys and always have been. Believe that there is no worse experience than the anticipated excitement not materialising.
You go from telling your friends that this will be the night for the ultimate party entry fee or not, to finding out the nightclub you were supposed to be having the time of your life at is sub-par. Not every night out partying is going to end up being a mash-up of a rap video and a porn movie but at least you can hope for some beautiful people, good music and attentive service
To help you make the most of your Friday or Saturday nights party plans in London we are here to rescue you with our recommendations for the best ten nightclubs in central London.
Near Leicester Square
Leicester Square is a beacon for visitors to London. The nightlife in the surrounding area tends to be quite commercial but Cafe de Paris is well worth a visit anyway. One of the most historic clubs in London it has plaid host to countless celebs and members of royalty over the year.
Best Nightclubs in Soho
Although Soho is near Leicester Square we are separating them for the purpose of this article. Our top picks are L8 Soho which offers late night partying towards the end of the week depending on the season and Toy Room which is one of the trendiest clubs in London also. If you were familiar with Movida expect a very similar experience.
Best Nightclubs in Mayfair
Mayfair is perhaps the most glamorous area of London, certainly the most expensive according to the monopoly board. The nightclubs follow suite with bottle prices at the top end. The crowd is usually better though so if you want to party in style Mayfair is the area to head to. Charlie, on the site of the old Funkybuddha, is rejigged and revigged with a higher=end vibe. For true high-end head to Annabel's. Maddox is also pretty good but a bit cliquey if you are not a regular.
Best Nightclubs in Fitzrovia
Libertine is well regarded in Fitzrovia, it is close to Oxford Circus. The door policy can be a pain but we wouldn't use the word racist.
