There are the 25 places we would eat at if we were staying in Central London.
Historically the British are not known as having great food. The French had long scoffed at the food available in Britain but times have changed. Over the past 30 years the number of restaurants, the variety of cuisines available, and the quality of the food, have all changed for the better. Food in London can actually be pretty reasonable in terms of price when compared with other European capital cities.
There are lots of flavours imported from around the world to explore and lots of restaurants, and cheap places to eat, to try them at. Three meals a day may not be enough if you are going to sample all the tastes available.
Being a capital city located close to the sea, fish and seafood at London restaurants tends to be fresh and good quality. Indian food is very popular and has long been a staple of the British diet. French and Italian gastronomy is well represented as are Thai and Chinese.
