Blue Plaques in London

Henry VIII Bronze Plaque - Here stood the Palace of Bridewell built by Henry VIII in 1523 and granted by Edward VI in 1553 to the City of London to house Bridewell Royal Hospital founded by Royal Charter in the same year.  The present building was erected in 1802 and in 1862 the court room of the Bridewell Royal Hospital was incorporated therein
Jacob Lepidus Blue Plaque - The Tottenham Outrage. On this site until the 1930's stood oak cottages, where in 1909 Jacob Lepidus, a Latvian "anarchist" was killed after a two hour running gun battle. It was the climax to a chase which left four dead and fifteen wounded following a wages snatch in Tottenham.
